Grown-ish is a spin off show from the hit show Black-ish, Zoe who is played by Yara Shahidi grows up and leaves for college, and like a normal college student she too ran into some bumps along the way. Handling friendships and relationships has been a roller coaster for her throughout season 1. Moving into Season 2 she enters sophomore season with a good head on her shoulders, but unfortunately that does not last long leading up to episode 11. Zoe runs into a intense conversation with her father and the turn out wasn't too good, her parents decided to cut her off due to her being placed on academic probation for cheating on her Chemistry Exam.
Because Zoe wanted to stay up until 4 o'clock in the morning at a party she was not prepared to take her exam and had to make that decision of cheating. Now she does not condone cheating but in her defense if she did not do it she would fail the course for the semester. So sacrifices had to be made. Now the big question that we are wondering is, what does this now mean for Zoe? I know on a personal level that college is expensive and that the term “Broke College Student” is no joke especially if you have no help from your parents. Being on your own is stressful enough and for Zoe entering adulthood came quicker than she thought it would.
