This new HBO series Euphoria has challenged the reality of youth today. Sex, Love, Drugs, Sexuality, Violence, and Youthfulness show the uncut reality of being a young adult in today's society.
The hit show follows the life of the character Rue who is played by actress, model, and singer Zendaya. Rue is a recovering drug addict who deals with her struggles of staying clean, finding her purpose, love, and her sexuality.
Euphoria has unveiled a new reality of what teens go through without the typical cookie cutter plot of coming of age and falling in love. This show gets down to the nitty gritty of things, which can be jaw dropping.
Fare warning Euphoria is not a show for an audience that is easily offended. Viewers who do decide to tune in, should be aware that some scenes (content) can be triggering, being that the series addresses many stories (scenarios) in different directions.
On the premiere of the hit show, Zendaya posted on her Instagram a reminder to her fans.
In the direction that society is headed, shows like Euphoria are desperately needed. This show informs young adults that we see you and that we understand what you may be struggling with. Euphoria brings awareness.
To catch up on the hit show tune in every Sunday at 10 pm on HBO.
